In the Triton spotlight, former UC San Diego women's basketball player Karina (Siam) Herold shares about her time at UC San Diego, from working with her team to overcome challenges to serving as the Triton Athletes' Council President. Herold also discusses her career journey. She got her start with the NCAA Postgraduate Internship and currently works as the VP for Major Events with the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission.

After two decades as one of the most successful programs in NCAA Division II, the UC San Diego intercollegiate athletics program began a new era in 2020 as a member of the Big West Conference in NCAA Division I.
