FULLERTON, Calif. – The University of California San Diego women's tennis team fell 6-1 on the road Saturday against future Big West Conference foe Cal State Fullerton in an exhibition match for the Tritons.

HOW IT HAPPENED
For the second consecutive exhibition match, UC San Diego senior Becky Chou and freshman Rachel Wagner won at first doubles, 6-1. Last week, the duo earned a doubles win over Nevada.
 
In singles, the lone Triton victor was sophomore Anu Bhadada. She was victorious 7-6, 5-1. Freshman Julianna Sabile played a tune-up and was victorious against her Fullerton foe, but that match did not count towards the team score.
 
QUOTABLE
"The team played a very competitive match against a strong opponent," said UC San Diego head coach Liz LaPlante, now coaching in her 41st season. "We had some close matches and hopefully we can build on this effort tomorrow."
