RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. - A pair of doubles wins wasn't enough as the 16th-ranked UC San Diego men's tennis team fell to No. 1 Barry, 5-2, Sunday at Rancho Valencia.
The Triton duo of Alexandre Miaule and Horea Porutiu outlasted Nico Dreer and Franco Echenique for a 9-8 victory at No. 2 doubles. UCSD also won at No. 3 as Rodrigo Amaral and Justin Zhang combined to take down Fabian Proneet and Daniel Ventura, 8-4.
