LA JOLLA, Calif. - The UC San Diego track and field program held its most successful Blue and Gold Alumni meet ever on Saturday, as well over 100 alums were on hand for the festivities at Triton Track and Field Stadium.

In addition to giving former Triton student-athletes a chance to reconnect and compete in their events, Saturday's meet also kicked off the UCSD track and field scoreboard project, which will feature the installation of a new state-of-the-art scoreboard on the south end of the stadium.

The new scoreboard is the second phase of the stadium rennovation project that began with the installation of the Leon T. Roach Memorial terraces near the pole vault area. The day's activities were held on the brand new terraces, which were dedicated by the Roach family at the second annual Leon T. Roach Vault-A-Thon on February 5.

Leon Roach II and UCSD alum Mike Wallace ('98) addressed the crowd during a ceremony at the end of the day.
