LA JOLLA, Calif. — UC San Diego women's soccer will face LMU on Monday, Sept. 14, at Triton Soccer Stadium, with kickoff set for 2 p.m. The matchup marks the Tritons' final non-conference contest of the 2026 season before The Big West Conference play begins.
The Tritons enter Monday's contest at 3-2-2, while LMU carries a 1-4-1 record into the matchup. Monday's meeting will be the fifth all-time between the two programs, with the series tied at 1-1-2. The Tritons will turn their attention to conference competition following Monday's contest.
Single-match tickets and season passes are available for purchase through the
Triton Box Office. Fans attending matches on campus should note that parking permits are required seven days a week at UC San Diego.

LAST TIME VS. LMU (9/10/23) | Stats
UC San Diego fell to LMU, 1-0, in the last meeting between the two programs at Triton Soccer Stadium. The Lions scored in the 31st minute and held on for the shutout, despite eight saves from UC San Diego goalkeeper Keara Fitzgerald. LMU out-shot the Tritons, 18-9, and held a 9-4 advantage in shots on goal, while the Lions also earned two corner kicks to UC San Diego's one. The result moved the Tritons to 1-1-2 all-time against LMU. The Lions will become future conference opponents when UC San Diego joins the West Coast Conference in 2027.
CHASING THE RECORD BOOKS
A pair of Tritons are making their mark on the UC San Diego Division I record book.
Ava Tibor enters the match with eight career goals, just three shy of the program's Division I record of 11. Meanwhile,
Alexis Nguyen is closing in on the all-time assist mark. Nguyen entered the season with seven career assists and is currently tied with two others for the record. One more assist would give her sole possession of the UC San Diego Division I career assists record.
ALEXIS ANSWERS THE CALL
Senior midfielder
Alexis Nguyen was named UCU Athlete of the Week on Aug. 24 after playing a key role in UC San Diego's unbeaten week. Nguyen helped the Tritons earn a 2-1 victory at UNLV before battling Northern Arizona to a scoreless draw. She scored the game-winning goal against the Rebels and finished the week with five shots, including four on goal, while starting both matches and playing 143 minutes.
FOUR-GOAL FRENZY
UC San Diego scored four goals, including first collegiate goals from
Olivia Shih and
Regan Ramirez, as the Tritons defeated Utah Tech, 4-2, on Aug. 15 at Triton Soccer Stadium. The four-goal performance marked UC San Diego's most in a match since Aug. 17, 2023, and the most in a home match during the Tritons' NCAA Division I era.
Ava Tibor and
Lana Gilligan also found the back of the net in the victory.
TRITONS WELCOME NINE NEWCOMERS
UC San Diego women's soccer head coach
Kristin Jones '04 has announced the addition of nine newcomers who will join the Tritons' roster for the 2026 season: five transfers and three first-year scholar-athletes.
Cadee Borg (Pepperdine),
Alissey Fang (UC Irvine),
Natalie Oca (LMU),
Kiki Vostermans (Cal Poly), and
Lauren Zamora (Sarah Lawrence College) will transfer to UC San Diego. First-year Tritons include
Maddie Neier,

Olivia Schiel, and
Claire Tonkin.
FOUR TRITONS CAPTURE BIG WEST HONORS IN 2025
Four UC San Diego scholar-athletes have been honored by The Big West as the conference announced its women's soccer postseason awards. Freshman forward
Ava Tibor was selected as The Big West Freshman of the Year by the conference's 11 head coaches and was also named to the Second Team and Freshman Team. Senior back
Allie Luo, junior midfielder
Alexis Nguyen, and freshman goalkeeper
Charlotte Wilfert were all named Honorable Mention All-Big West, with Wilfert also earning a spot on the Freshman Team.
Tibor becomes the first UC San Diego women's soccer player to earn a major postseason award since the Tritons moved to NCAA Division I and joined The Big West in 2020. She led all Big West freshmen with six goals, establishing a new UC San Diego Division I-era program record.
RECORD SETTERS RETURN
The 2025 season saw
Ava Tibor and
Charlotte Wilfert etch their names in the UC San Diego women's soccer record book. Tibor set the program's Division I-era single-season goals record with six goals, while Wilfert established a new career shutouts record with nine. Both record-setting standouts return for the 2026 season, bringing experience and proven production as the Tritons look to build on last year's success.
HEAD COACH KRISTIN JONES '04
Kristin Jones '04 enters her eighth season at the helm of the UC San Diego women's soccer program. A standout player during her time as a Triton, Jones returned to her alma mater as an assistant coach in 2004 before being promoted to associate head coach in 2015 and ultimately taking over as head coach in 2018.
Jones has guided UC San Diego to a 56-51-28 (.519) overall record and a 32-24-16 (.555) mark in conference play. Her tenure began with back-to-back NCAA postseason appearances, including a 19-3-2 campaign in 2018 that resulted in a CCAA championship.
Now in her eighth season, Jones continues to lead the Tritons as they compete in The Big West.

Leilah Raad will serve as team captains for the 2026 season, providing leadership and experience for the Tritons.
UC SAN DIEGO TO THE WCC
UC San Diego will join the West Coast Conference beginning in 2027-28. This season, Triton women's soccer will face a pair of future WCC opponents; Loyola Marymount and University of the Pacific.

WHY THE TRITONS?
The Triton is described as the offspring of Poseidon and Amphitrite, a demigod of the sea with a lower part of the body like that of a fish. It is known as a mighty and fierce sea warrior. Given UC San Diego's close proximity to the Pacific Ocean and its connections with the world-famous Scripps Institution of Oceanography, the Triton became our mascot in 1964.
