Tritons Set to Participate in National University Bill Walton Classic

UC San Diego women’s basketball will face the University of San Diego on Nov. 7

SAN DIEGO—UC San Diego women's basketball is set to participate in the inaugural National University Bill Walton Classic, a new college basketball event celebrating the sport and the city that shaped one of its greatest legends.
 
The Tritons will face the University of San Diego on Saturday, November 7 at Pechanga Arena in the first game of a double-header, followed by San Diego State men's basketball taking on an opponent TBA. Game times for both will be announced soon.
 
Presale tickets are available now and public tickets go on sale April 24.
 
The contest will mark the first meeting for UC San Diego and the University of San Diego in women's basketball since the Tritons transitioned to Division I in 2020 and will kickstart a new crosstown rivalry as UC San Diego is set to join the Toreros in the West Coast Conference in 2027-28.
