LA JOLLA, Calif.—UC San Diego women's basketball has announced the hiring of
Ethan Brown as the Tritons' chief of staff for the 2026-27 season. He will be responsible for all logistics concerning the women's basketball program, including coordinating team travel and recruiting visits, as well as acting as the program's administrative liaison.
Brown transitions to the Tritons' staff after spending three years as Assistant Athletics Director of Events and Operations at UC San Diego.

Prior to his time in La Jolla, Brown spent two years as Facilities & Game Operations Assistant at Loyola Marymount. He coordinated weekly game management meetings and was in charge of communication materials. In addition, Brown was the person of contact for day-to-day needs of all sport programs on campus.
Brown was a graduate assistant for facilities and event management at California Baptist University and also worked in marketing and promotions at Central Washington University.
Brown received his Master of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sports Management from CBU in 2021 and earned his bachelor's degree in sports management with a double specialization in sport business and sport coaching in 2020 from Central Washington University.
