HOUSTON – UC San Diego dominated day three of the Big West Championships, finishing on the podium ten times across 14 events. The Tritons finished first in five of those events. In the mix

After three days of championships, UC San Diego women improve to third place with 441 points. University of Hawai'i remain on top of the women's standing with 560 points. On the men's side UC San Diego stand in fourth place, earning 367 points. University of Hawai'i moved into the men's first-place spot with 512 points going into the final day of competition.

HIGHLIGHTS
In preliminaries, Braun and
William Seymour both set program records. Braun broke the 100 Breaststroke record with a time of 58.79 and Seymour broke the 100 Backstroke record with a 47.03. In finals, Boehlke claimed another first-place medal with a win in the 52.79 in the 100 Butterfly. On the men's side,
Hunter Cehelnik claimed silver, breaking a program record (46.14). Another two second-place finishes were earned in the 400 IM.
Sydney Niles on the women's side finished with a 4:15.98,
Colton Milne with a time of 3:51.18. In the 200 Freestyle Kozan punched her ticket to the NCAA's, outpacing her competitors with a 1:45.52. A third NCAA qualifier was then found in
Chloe Braun who swam a 58.95 in the 100 Breaststroke, topping the event.
Hayley Gregory finished on the podium with a bronze medal (1:00.68). In the 100 Backstroke
Madison O'Connell was victorious (53.81), joining her
Addison Everage earned the second—place spot (54.05). To finish the night Boehlke, Braun, O'Connell, and Kozan broke another program record to claim the 400 Medley Relay.

UC San Diego will finish out the Best West Championships tomorrow, Feb. 14 in Houston, Texas. The preliminaries are set to begin at 8 a.m. PST, 10 a.m. CT. The finals will begin at 4 p.m. PST, 6 p.m. CT.
