LA JOLLA, Calif. — UC San Diego Health and UC San Diego Athletics today announced an expanded, multi-year sponsorship that includes a new uniform collaboration, the first of its kind for Triton Athletics. Beginning with the 2026-27 season, the UC San Diego Health logo will appear on competition apparel and travel gear across 12 men's and women's varsity programs, further deepening a long-standing relationship between the two UC San Diego units rooted in scholar-athlete health, performance, and well-being.
As part of the collaboration, UC San Diego Health, the longtime healthcare provider for UC San Diego Athletics, will provide expanded services for scholar-athlete care, building on years of collaboration in support of Triton student-athletes.
"UC San Diego Health is proud to care for Triton student athletes as they compete at the highest levels," said Amy Leu, DO, Triton head team physician and sports medicine specialist at UC San Diego Health. "Seeing our name on Triton uniforms reflects teamwork built on a long-standing relationship of excellence, innovation and a shared commitment to helping these remarkable student athletes thrive."
"UC San Diego Health has been caring for our scholar-athletes for years, mostly behind the scenes," said UC San Diego Athletics Director
Andy Fee. "Now that relationship gets to be out front every time our Tritons compete. It says a lot about this university when two of its units work together this closely, and there's no better time to showcase that than as we head into the West Coast Conference."
As part of the agreement, UC San Diego Health branding will be integrated across Triton Athletics as follows:
- Jersey placement for baseball, men's basketball, women's basketball, softball, men's soccer, women's soccer, men's volleyball, and women's volleyball
- Competition cap placement for men's swimming, women's swimming, men's water polo, and women's water polo
Men's and women's basketball will debut the branding on their game jerseys and travel gear to open the 2026-27 season. Baseball, softball, men's volleyball, and women's water polo are set to follow during their respective seasons in spring 2027. Men's and women's swimming, men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, and men's water polo will debut the UC San Diego Health branding on competition and travel apparel as the Tritons begin competing in the West Coast Conference for the first time next fall.
