Annual basketball tip-off event featured coaching legends Paul Westhead, Tara VanDerveer, and PJ Carlesimo

SOLANA BEACH, Calif. – UC San Diego men's and women's basketball came together for their annual tip-off event. Titled "A Night with Legends," this year's preseason event took place at Lomas Santa Fe Country Club last week. The night brought together both teams and supporters to hear from coaches Clint Allard '08 and Heidi VanDerveer to preview their upcoming seasons. Basketball coaching legends Paul Westhead, Tara VanDerveer, and PJ Carlesimo were on hand to share stories and discuss how the game has changed. The moderated discussion with the three legends was led by NBC7's Darnay Tripp. The exclusive event also featured a silent auction and cameos from King Triton and UC San Diego cheerleaders.
