LA JOLLA, Calif. – UC San Diego men battled hard against Stanford, earning 17 top three finishes across 14 events, but ultimately fell to the Cardinal, 177 to 81 points.

HIGHLIGHTS
Starting off the meet in the 200 Medley Relay,
William Seymour,
Adrian Bellido,
Hunter Cehelnik, and
Zach Elian placed second, with Elian anchoring a 19.68 split.
Charlie Franz and
Landon Egeland finished second (9:18.86) and third (9:22.66), respectively, in the 1000 Freestyle. Following in the 200 Free,
Aidan Rikic had a podium finish in third (1:39.01). Jack O'Shuaghnessy earned another third-place finish in the 100 Backstroke (48.26). Bellido placed second in the 100 Backstroke (55.26). In the 100 Freestyle, Cehelnik finished second (43.88).
Luigi Franco and O'Shaughnessy earned the second and third place spots in the 200 Backstroke (1:45.87, 1:46.46). In similar fashion,
Zachary Tower (4:30.43) and Franz (4:30.49) finished second and third, respectively. Elian finished third in the 100 Butterfly (48.20).
Shane Burns earned a podium finish in the 400 IM (3:56.94). Finishing the meet, UC San Diego A, comprised of Cehelnik, Seymour, Elian, and Rikic finished second in the 200 Freestyle (1:21.16). UC San Diego,

UC San Diego will go back on the road to Riverside, Calif. to face Cal Baptist on Saturday, Jan. 24th. The meet is set to begin at 11 a.m. at Lancer Aquatics Center.
