RENO, NEVADA – UC San Diego indoor track and field teams returned to Reno to compete at the Wolf Pack Classic on Feb. 7 and 8 on the Nevada campus. The Triton women posted two first place finishes with
Julia Di Silvestri winning pole vault,
Feyi Olukanni taking the shot put, and
Makena Bailey winning the high jump.

DAY ONE
On the women's side
Leading the way in the field,
Tamara Aimufia finished second overall in the women's long jump with mark of 5.89m (19'4") In the weight throw,
Feyi Olukanni was the Triton top finisher in 12th place with a personal record of 14.12m (46'4").
Amari Jenkins took a ninth-place finish in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.00.
Making his collegiate debut, Marcus White finished ninth in the men's long jump setting the UC San Diego indoor record with a distance of 6.87m (22' 6.5"). Â
Jeremy Frank represented the Tritons in the 60m hurdles to finish second with a time of 8.25.

DAY TWO
Olukani kept her performance going on day two of the classic as she won the women's shot put with a distance of 14.48m (47'6.25"). Joining Olukani with a top finish was freshman
Makena Bailey who won the women's high jump with a mark of 1.73m (5'8"). This is Bailey's second collegiate appearance and with that height she moves into the fourth all-time position for UC San Diego. Her fellow jumper,
Chidiebere Agunanne led the way in the women's triple jump with a mark of 11.84m (38'10.25") and sixth place finish.
Amari Jenkins,
Rachel Aguilar,
Lauren Schiele, and
Jordyn Thomas represented the Tritons in the women's 4x4 relay, taking second. The first-place team set a new facility record with the Tritons finishing above the previous mark as well.

Opening the day for the Triton men,
Miles Bennett finished fourth in the men's high jump with a height of 2.10m (6'10.75"). In the shot put,
Cesar Salazar finished second with a mark of 16.47m (54' 0.5") and was joined by teammate
Zach Lewis in fourth.

Kim Graham-Miller commented, "in our second year competing indoors we have already had tremendous improvement. We have adjust to the speed and track much faster than in years past."
