LA JOLLA, Calif. – After a dominating performance at the Big West Swim and Dive Championships, UC San Diego's Asia Kozan was named Big West Swimmer of the Year as announced by the conference office on Friday, Feb. 21.

The sophomore standout earned a championship title each night of the four-day meet and returned to La Jolla with four first place medals and one third place medal. Kozan set four Big West meet records as well as five UC San Diego program records. During the regular season, Kozan set the 200 IM program record and earned an NCAA B Cut at the midseason Trailblazer Invitational.
