RENO, NEVADA – UC San Diego track and field teams took to the course for the first time in the 2025 season at the Nevada Invitational and Multis. The indoor teams competed over two days in Reno on Friday, Jan. 24 and Saturday, Jan. 25.

DAY ONE
On the women's side
Leading the way for the Triton women on the track,
Amari Jenkins finished sixth in the 400m dash with a personal best time of 56.99. The senior was joined by first year
Rachel Aguilar who finished just behind in seventh place with a time of 57.24.
Alexya Platt joined her teammates taking 13th with a time of 58.63.

First year
Brionna Dickens finished 30th in the 200m dash with a time of 25.62. Sophomore
Jordyn Thomas finished 31st with a time of 25.68. Aguilar posted another personal best as she joined the other Tritons, taking 33rd with a time of 25.71.
Lauren McBride and Platt came in 40th and 41st respectively.
In the field, Julia Di'Silvestri tied her personal record in the pole vault as she finished third with a 3.90 meter (12' 9.5") mark.
On the men's side
On the track, the Triton men showed out in the 200m dash with four Tritons running personal bests.
Anthony Flowers finished 11th with a time of 21.49 and was followed closely by
Kian Maher in 12th with a time of 21.52. Finishing 20th,
Brandon Orlow ran a time of 21.84 and was followed by
Frank McGowan in 27th with a time of 22.09. In the 400m dash, McGowan finished eighth with a time of 49.27 and Chrisitian Magana finished 13th with a time of 50.64.

In the field,
Bryan Chang snapped the school record in the weight throw taking third place with a distance of 18.08 meters (59'4").
Jaden Rucker posted a 6.82 meter mark in long jump for a personal best  (22"5").

DAY TWO
On the women's side
In the 60m dash,
Idara Ibekwe took 13th in the Silver section with a time of 7.71. In the Blue section,
Lauren McBride finished  fourth with a time of 7.72. Both returners posted personal bests in their sections. Running in the Section A 400m dash,
Jordyn Thomas finished 5th with a time of 56.58. Jenkins, Ibekwe, Aguilar, and Thomas ran a program best with a time of 3:45.62 to take third in the 4x4 relay.

Makena Bailey posted a personal best in the triple jump to take fourth place with a distance of 11.88m (38'11.75").

On the men's side
In the field,
Cesar Salazar threw a personal best in the shotput for third place with a distance of 16.47m (54' 0.5").

On the track, McGowan, Orlow, Magana, and Maher ran a program best to take fourth place with a time of 3:17.47.

The Tritons are home for a week before returning to Reno for the Wolf Pack Classic on Feb. 7 and 8.
