Over three rounds, the Tritons totaled an 899, 35-over par on the par-72, 7127-yard layout at El Macero Country Club in El Macero, just outside of Davis and about 77 miles northeast of San Francisco.

It was the best finish for UC San Diego in three appearances at the tournament.

None of the 18 teams in the field finished under par and just four golfers of 104 shot under-par

WHAT HEAD COACH FRED HANOVER HAD TO SAY
"Today was a little disappointing after putting ourselves into contention. However, we did top a lot of teams ranked ahead of us and it's only a matter of time before we post solid score in all three rounds. We have really improved this season and I'm looking forward to next week's event Illinois."
