ST. GEORGE, Utah – UC San Diego swim teams opened the first night of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Conference Championships with two podium finishes on the women's side in the 200 medley relay and 800 free relay.

ON THE WOMEN'S SIDE
Opening the meet with the 200 yard medley relay, the A relay for the Tritons was made up of Eva Boelhke,
Chloe Braun,
Miranda Renner, and
Josette Odgers. The squad led the way with a 1:38.86 time for the first place finish. They were joined in the event by teammates
Iris Bayan,
Jana Jocic,
Teagan Monroe, and
Mackenzie Lee as the B relay team. The second group finished second in the B group posting a time of 1:42.08.

In the 800 free,
Audrey Moore,
Sophia Bell,
Sophie Francis, and
Asia Kozan represented the gold and blue. Posting a time of 7:18.09, the relay team finished third.

ON THE MEN'S SIDE
Getting things started for the men was
Nathan Lee,
Luke Pusateri,
Chad Morrison, and
Zach Elian swimming the 200 medley relay. The lone representatives in the event posted a time of 1:28.17 to finish in fourth place.

After swimming a program record the Tritons were unfortunately disqualified in the 800 free relay.

UP NEXT
The Tritons will continue to compete at the conference championships with prelims beginning Thursday, Feb. 22 at 9 a.m. PT. The second day of finals will begin at 5 p.m. PT after prelims are conducted.
