2025 Men's Volleyball Schedule Highlighted by 13 Home Matches

LA JOLLA, Calif. – The UC San Diego men's volleyball team and head coach Brad Rostratter announced the squad's 2025 season schedule Friday.

The schedule features 13 home matches inside LionTree Arena with five of those being Big West contests.

Single match and season ticket information will be announced in the coming weeks.

The team's campaign gets underway in Los Angeles County as the Tritons compete in the North American Challenge, hosted by Long Beach State Jan. 3-5. There, UC San Diego will face three Canadian teams - Alberta, Trinity Western, and British Columbia- Okanagan.

Following that road trip, the Tritons enjoy four-consecutive home matches against non-conference opponents McKendree (Jan. 7), Saint Francis (Jan. 8), Daemen (Jan. 10), and George Mason (1/14).

It's back to Los Angeles Jan. 17-18 for a pair of matches at CSUN's UA Tournament where UC San Diego will take on Lindenwood and Purdue Fort Wayne.

On Jan. 23 the Tritons find themselves right back in the City of Angels to face perennial powerhouse UCLA.

LionTree Arena is back in the spotlight for three-straight home tilts, Vanguard (1/24), Loyola (2/1), and Lincoln Memorial.

UC San Diego then faces its longest road swing of the season between Feb. 7 and March 1. The six-match includes Vanguard (2/7), Grand Canyon (2/14 and 2/15), Concordia (2/22), Menlo (2/28), and Stanford (3/1).

On March 6, the Tritons host Sacred Heart, their last tune-up before conference play gets underway.

Big West action opens on March 7 at UC Santa Barbara.

Princeton visits LionTree on March 10 and that will serve as the final non-conference regular season match for the Tritons.

It's all Big West all the time from there as UC San Diego plays nine consecutive conference matches, starting March 14 when UC Santa Barbara makes the trek down to La Jolla.

March 28-29 the Tritons are on the islands for back-to-back matches at Hawai'i.

The last six Big West matches include UC Irvine (April 4-5), CSUN (4/10, 4/12), and Long Beach State (4/18-19).

The Big West Championship is set for April 24-26 on the campus of the University of Hawai'i in Honolulu. In 2024, the Tritons were knocked out in the opening round by CSUN.

The 2025 National Collegiate Championships are set for May 10-12 at Ohio State's Covelli Center.

UC San Diego finished its 2024 season with a 12-15 overall record and a 4-6 mark in Big West action. Opposite Anthony Cherfan was recognized as an American Volleyball Coaches Association All-America Honorable Mention.
