LA JOLLA, Calif. – Six Tritons have earned accolades for their hard work both in the classroom and on the pitch. Seniors
Camryn Borg,
Courtney Hilliard and
Raquel Kalpakoff, and juniors
Talisa Lin,
Allie Luo and
Lindsey Park were all named to the Academic All-District Team as announced by College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday. All six will now move on to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Borg, Hilliard, Lin, Luo. and Park are all repeat honorees, recognized after the 2023 season as well.
Camryn Borg (Los Gatos, Calif.) is a business economics major with a 3.63 grade point average. On the pitch, Borg started all 15 matches in which she played along the back line, and was a part of four clean sheets.
Courtney Hilliard (Carlsbad, Calif.) maintains a 3.59 grade point average as an international studies -- international business major. A two-time team captain, Hilliard led the team with six assists and 14 points.
Raquel Kalpakoff (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) maintains a 3.68 grade point average as an environmental systems -- environmental policy major. Kalpakoff started 17 matches and was the team's leading goal scorer with five, including a pair of game-winners.
Talisa Lin (Golden, Colo.) maintains a 3.82 grade point average as an anthropology major. The defender started all 19 matches and logged a team-high 1700 minutes.
Allie Luo (San Diego, Calif.) is a human biology major and holds a 3.75 cumulative GPA. Luo has started every match of her Triton career and the defender scored her first career goal in the Tritons' final road match at UC Riverside.
Lindsey Park (Torrance, Calif.) is a business economics major who maintains a 3.52 cumulative GPA. Park started all 19 matches in the midfield, scoring three goals and led the team in shots on goal.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
To be eligible, student-athletes must hold a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and must have played in 90% of the team's matches. Freshmen are not eligible for consideration.
The Tritons completed their 2024 season with a senior night 2-0 win over Cal Poly, giving UC San Diego a result in three of its final four Big West matches.
