LA JOLLA, Calif. – UC San Diego hosted its first Triton Fall Invitational from Thursday through Saturday at Northview Tennis Courts. Four Big West institutions took part in the three-day event on the UC San Diego campus. Cal Poly's Natalie Lynch won the singles title while the Mustangs' Sarah MacCallum and Anushree Shekhera were the doubles champions.
Four Tritons took part in the Triton Fall Invitational:
Varsha Jawadi,
Kamya Nair,
Adriana Tabares, and
Athena Wardy. The doubles pairings were Jawadi/Tabares and Nair/Wardy.
UC San Diego freshman
Athena Wardy picked up a 6-2, 6-3 win over UC Irvine's Maily Huynh in her first match of the weekend. Wardy won two of her three matches over the weekend.
