STOCKTON, Calif. -Â UC San Diego sits in seventh place while
Nathan Tseng is fourth following Monday's opening round of the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational.
Pacific is hosting the 15-team, 91-player event at Stockton Golf & Country Club, a par-71, 6,566-yard venue.
HOW IT HAPPENED
UC San Diego earned its seventh-place position by shooting a 2-under par 282 in round one.
The University of San Diego leads the field at 12-under and is followed by Pacific (-9) in second. California Baptist and Grand Canyon are tied for third at 8-under.
Tseng carded a 4-under 67. He had one eagle, five birdies, nine pars, and three bogeys.
Francis Catalano also shot under-par with a 69 (-2).
Three players are atop the individual leader board at 5-under including the University of San Diego's You Choi and Pacific's Travis Robbie.
