FULLERTON, Calif. — On day two of the Ben Brown Invite hosted by Cal State Fullerton, UC San Diego's track and field team had a number of top-ten finishes in various events.

For the men's team,
Nathan Tripp had a strong performance in the shot put, finishing eighth overall with a throw of 14.81m.
Kyle Gibbs also had a solid showing in the pole vault, coming in at sixth with a height of 4.80m.
Jack Wiseman had a standout performance in the high jump finishing second overall with a jump of 2.05m, while
Nathan Yoder placed fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 14.07m.Â

On the women's side,
Feyi Olukanni had a good showing in the shot put, finishing eighth overall with a throw of 13.18m.
Julia Di Silvestri came in at fifth in the pole vault with a height of 3.75m and
Kate MacNaughton finished second overall in the high jump with a jump of 1.66m. Lizzie Coley had a standout performance in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing in fourth with a time of 14.34 while
Maxine Schultz finished seventh in the 400-meter run with a time of 57.75.
Gloria Kalt came in ninth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:05.41, and
Maxine Schultz completed the 200-meter dash in ninth with a time of 25.32. To conclude the action on day two, the team of Kalt, Kepler, Schiele, and Schultz finished fifth overall in the 1600-meter relay with a time of 3:58.58.

"Day two was about mental toughness," shares UC San Diego head coach Kim Graham-Miller. "We had another day of cool wet weather to compete in and I was pleased with how we stayed consistent or improved with our performances. It's about getting better with every meet and I think we did that today."
