Noah Sonenstein '22 Talks International Soccer Journey on Tritoncast

LA JOLLA, Calif. – Episode 61 of Tritoncast, the official podcast for UC San Diego Athletics, has dropped and is available to download or stream on every major podcast platform.
 
This week's show features a conversation with UC San Diego men's soccer team captain Noah Sonenstein '22. The grad student fills us in on his amazing soccer journey overseas this past summer. Noah also describes what makes an effective captain and the story behind those Team Noah t-shirts you may have seen all around Triton Soccer Stadium. Plus, he's on the hot seat as our popular Quick Picks segment returns.

After two decades as one of the most successful programs in NCAA Division II, the UC San Diego intercollegiate athletics program began a new era in 2020 as a member of the Big West Conference in NCAA Division I. The 23-sport Tritons earned 30 team and nearly 150 individual national championships during its time in Divisions III and II and helped guide 1,400 scholar-athletes to All-America honors. A total of 83 Tritons have earned Academic All-America accolades, while 38 have received prestigious NCAA Post Graduate Scholarships.
