LA JOLLA, Calif. - The University of California San Diego swim and dive team will add 14 standout swimmers to its roster for the 2022-23 season.
The blue and gold will be entering their third season of NCAA Division I and Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Conference competition this spring. The Tritons finished with last season with the women's side taking the MPSF Conference championship for the first time in UC San Diego history. The men's side finished fourth at the MPSF Conference championship and the Tritons had 26 swimmers earn All-MPSF Conference awards - more than any other team in the conference. Head Coach Marko Djordjevic was named MPSF Swim Coach of the Year after the Tritons' strong performance. At the College Swimming Coaches Association of America's National Invitational Championship, both squads recorded multiple team records and the women's squad of Miranda Renner, Jordan Phillips, Tina Reuter, and Brittney Miles set a CSCAA NIC meet record in the 200 yard freestyle relay.
