th-ranked UC San Diego women's water polo team (17-9, 2-2 BWC) will hit the road once again to take on No. 17 UC Santa Barbara (11-10, 1-3 BWC) for its Senior Day this Saturday, April 9. This will be the first of three consecutive Big West road matches the Tritons will play leading up to the Big West Conference tournament that begins April 21.

WHAT'S AT STAKE
UC San Diego heads up the coast to Santa Barbara after falling 15-6 in a difficult matchup against then 5
th-ranked Hawai'i last Friday. The Tritons have scored 10 goals or less in each of their last three matchups, all against ranked opponents, going 1-2 in that stretch.

UC San Diego has faced UC Santa Barbara just once this season, with the Tritons defeating the Gauchos 11-10 back on Feb. 27 in their final match of the Barbara Kalbus Invitational tournament hosted by UC Irvine prior to Big West Conference play beginning. Since that match, UC San Diego has gone 8-2 (2-2 BWC), while UC Santa Barbara is 1-3 since, representing their record in BWC play.

Ciara Franke cemented herself as the 10th all-time goal scorer in UC San Diego history against Loyola Marymount, scoring four goals, including three penalty shots, in the win. With 199 career goals, Franke moved ahead of Brenda Reiton (195). Franke has netted 46 goals, despite missing six matches over the course of the season. Franke is two goals behind Sydney Gstettenbauer (201) and three goals behind Lauren Boyer (202).

Bennett Bugelli recorded 2 more saves against Hawai'i, bringing her career total up to 772 career saves. In the win over UCSB at the Kalbus Invitational, Bugelli moved up to third all-time, passing Maryam Hadiashar, 697 saves, and Leona Mason, 701 saves. This season, she has already leapt up from ninth place after making 25 saves at the UCSB Winter Invite. Next on the list is Jefi Paulsen with 852 saves.
