RIVERSIDE, Calif. — For the second year in a row, the UC San Diego track and field team is leaving Riverside with their names in the record books. The Triton women's 4x100-meter relay team of
Lizzie Dolan,
Idara Ibekwe,
Jenna Mencarelli, and
Mckenna Meaney set the Chris Rinne Twilight meet record in the event Friday, finishing in a time of 46.83 seconds, beating Azusa Pacific's mark from 2019 by 0.17 seconds.
The record-setting relay performance was one of four event wins and five new top ten all time marks for the Tritons.
Lauren Pritchard finished second overall, one of nine overall runners-up for UC San Diego on the day, but first among collegiate athletes in the women's high jump, clearing 5' 5". An additional six Tritons earned third-place finishes, making 19 total podiums.

TRITON TIDBITS
- Former Triton Timothy Corvese (Class of 2020) set the meet record in the men's 800-meter run Friday, breaking the record set by current Triton Jake Selstad last year.
- On the list at last: Megan Mattson's time of 14.30 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles finally got her onto UC San Diego's top ten list for the event after she had missed making it by just 0.01 seconds for two straight weeks
UP NEXT
The Tritons will split their squad again next weekend, making their debut at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, while also competing at UC Irvine's Steve Scott Invitationals. Most of the team will be in Irvine, with only a select group traveling to the Midwest. Both meets take place April 29-30.
