SAN DIEGO – The Tritons opened up their fall play at the ITA Regional Championships this past weekend at both San Diego State and the University of San Diego. Many Big West, Mountain West, WCC, and Pac 12 schools attended the tournament taking place Thursday-Monday, Oct. 20-24.
The highlight of the weekend for UC San Diego was day three when the Tritons took three out of four doubles matches and won over four out of eight singles matches.
Although the Tritons faced some tough competition over the weekend
Grace Gamal and
Sophie Pearson won both of their doubles on day two and day three of the tournament.
