LOS ANGELES – The UC San Diego women's swim and dive team traveled to UCLA to face the Bruins Saturday, falling by a score of 165-119.
UCLA improved to 3-2 with the win while the Tritons fell to 3-1 in dual meets.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Out of the 16 scheduled events, UC San Diego had a few standout performances against the Pac-12 Bruins.
Jordan Phillips (58.13) led the Tritons in the 100 back while
Sophie Francis (1:55.15) put up a strong performance in the 200 free, both coming in at third place in each of their events.
Both
Lexi DePaco (2:07.13) and
Josi Platalla (2:12.13) finished in the top three of the 200 fly.
Sophie Francis (5:15.13) finished in second place in the 500 free with
Josi Platalla (5:19.36) following close behind.

The Tritons' Sunday
dual meet against Minnesota was canceled. The Tritons will return to Los Angeles next weekend. UC San Diego will take part in the UCLA Diving Invite Jan. 14-16 with the swim team visiting USC on Jan. 15.
