GREENSBORO, N.C. – Nine Tritons competed the past four days in the Toyota US Open, hosted by USA Swimming. UC San Diego saw some impressive competition competing against swimmers represented by universities across the nation inside Greensboro Aquatic Center.

MEN'S
Starting the Tritons off day one, Freshman
Jackson Bernstein finished the 800 Free with a time of 8:28.00 and followed up day two with a time of 4:08.91 completing the 400 Free.
Andrija Petkovic concluded the men's 50 Free clocking in at 24.21.

Nathan Lee came in tenth during the 200 Medley at 2:06.11 with
Zack Reuter timing in just over four seconds later. There was another appearance from Lee on the following day, finishing off the 400 Medley for the Tritons at 4:33.68. That time was a lifetime best.

More highlights from the Tritons include
Luke Pusateri and
Ethan Hildesheim completing both the 100 and 200 Breast. Pusateri finished the 100 Breast with a time of 1:04.05 while Hildesheim followed less than a second later. Hildesheim set personal bests in both events with a time of 1:04.51 in the 100 breast and 2:23.99 in the 200 breast.

Concluding the Toyota US Open, all in Final B Lee landed first for the 200 Medley, seventh in the 400 Medley, and completed the 300 Back in fifth. Pusateri secured fourth in both Final Bs for the 100 and 200 Breast with Hildesheim not far behind.

WOMEN'S
Alana Barthel started the women off completing both the 100 and 200 Back with times of 1:06.04 and 2:19.17. The Tritons saw an appearance from
Katie Cho in the 200 Butterfly finishing in 2:23.81 Barthel finished off leaving UC San Diego with seventh in Final B of the 200 Back.

The Tritons will take a break for final exams and the women will return to the pool on Dec. 18 to host Cal at Canyonview Aquatic Center.
