SAN DIEGO – This past weekend the Tritons competed in the San Diego State Fall Tennis Classic. The tournament ran from Friday-Sunday, Nov. 12-14 and included talent from SDSU, Utah, Oregon, Air Force, and UC Riverside.
Facing some challenging competition, UC San Diego took three out of four doubles and three out of six singles on day two. After filling in for
Naomi Nguyen following an injury day one,
Monica Stratakos and
Sophie Pearson won all but their last doubles match and took home second place in the doubles red division. Some additional highlights include
Katelyn Vu finishing fifth in singles red and
Anu Bhadada finishing fifth in singles white.
This tournament concludes the Tritons' fall play and UC San Diego's scholar athletes continue to prepare for the upcoming 2021-2022 season.
