Women's Water Polo Looks to Stay Undefeated in Conference

LA JOLLA, Calif. – The No. 10 women's water polo team seeks a 2-0 start in Big West play when they take on Long Beach State this weekend.

MAKING HISTORY
The Tritons won their very first Big West Conference game when they defeated Cal State Northridge 12-9 on February 29. In their first season as a member of the Big West, The Tritons have already made noise this season with their first win in program history over California back in January.
 
HISTORY WITH LONG BEACH
Since 2006, Long Beach State holds the edge in the series 14-9. The Tritons fell to the 49ers 5-1 the last time the two teams met on March 10, 2019 with Jessee Ransone scoring the lone goal in the contest.

UP NEXT
The Tritons will have a busy weekend in San Diego next weekend. They host Hawaii on March 13 at 6 p.m. for their Big West home opener. On March 14 and 15, they will compete in the Aztec Invitational, hosted by San Diego State.
