LA JOLLA, Calif. – The No. 7 University of California, San Diego women's water polo team will host its first home event of the season when it hosts the prestigious Triton Invitational.
ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT
The Triton Invitational features the top teams in the country with 13 out of the 16 teams competing this weekend ranked in the top 25. Seeding is determined by the rankings of January 29. The Triton's bracket includes Marist, UC Santa Barbara and San Diego State. UC San Diego is the top seed in its bracket and will face Marist in its first game at 11:10 am. All places will be played out this weekend. For more information, see the attached tournament page.

The Tritons picked up two more wins at the Lancer Invite against Pomona-Pitzer and Concordia Irvine. Franke had a team high 10 goals. Their 5-1 start is the best since 2014.
CENTURY MARK SCORERS
Three players have eclipsed 100 career goals. Franke scored her 100
th at the Lancer Invite while
Taylor Onstott accomplished this feat at the UCSB Invite.
Grace Pevehouse hit the century mark last season.
BIG WEST ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Ciara Franke earned the conference's first Big West Player of the Week award after an eight-goal performance at the UCSB Winter invite. She scored five goals against then No. 4 California including the golden goal.
