LAST TIME OUT
The Tritons are coming off of a road exhibition against UC Riverside.
Phillip Lan picked up a win at No. 6 singles, but the Tritons ultimately fell to the Highlanders, 6-1.
TEAM CAPTAINS
Sreeganesh Manoharan serves as the Tritons' team captain, while
Zach Ermert is the PR/community service captain and
Neil Tengbumroong is the academic captain.
NEW SEASON, NEW TRITONS
Five scholar-athletes are in their first year with the UC San Diego men's tennis team. Among the four freshmen are brothers Phillip and
William Lan from La Canada Flintridge. Classmate
Dylan Taylor also hails from Southern California, specifically Huntington Beach. Rounding out the freshman class is
Fraser Leslie, from Wellesley, Mass.
The final new Triton is transfer
Cody Duong, who previously competed at American River College from 2015-17.
HEAD COACH TIMMER WILLING
Timmer Willing is in his eighth season in charge of the UC San Diego men's tennis program. With a dual-match record of 84-70, he has guided the Tritons to three NCAA Division II Championship appearances.

BIG WEST BOUND
UC San Diego is in its 20th and final year playing as an NCAA Division II team. In July of 2020, the entire athletics program will begin a four-year transition to NCAA Division I, culminating in full DI status as a member of the
Big West Conference for the 2024-25 academic year. At that time, all sports will be eligible for conference and NCAA postseason play.
