Baseball Ranked Second in Collegiate Baseball Preseason Poll

LA JOLLA, Calif. – The University of California San Diego baseball team was ranked second in the Collegiate Baseball Division II Preseason Poll, released on December 17. The Tritons received 626 points, just one point behind first ranked and 2019 NCAA World Series Champions Tampa.
 
UC San Diego went 41-16 last season and made a third consecutive appearance in the College World Series. The Tritons ranked fourth at the end of the 2019 season.
 
Also ranked in the polls are West regional foes Azusa Pacific (No. 21) and Point Loma (No. 29) and CCAA rivals Cal Ply Pomona (No. 35) and Cal St. Monterey Bay (No. 39)
 
The Tritons start their final season of Division II on February 1 when they host Concordia Portland.
