DAVIS, Calif. — UC San Diego baseball took the series finale over UC Davis, 9-5, on Sunday afternoon at Dobbins Stadium to secure their second sweep of the conference slate. The Tritons' (12-13, 8-1 Big West) offense was bolstered by a total of nine hits, including a home run, while taking advantage of nine walks issued by Aggies (11-14, 5-7 Big West) pitching.

Gabe Camacho recorded three runs and hit a home run while contributing one RBI.
J.C. Allen collected three hits, including a double, and drove in a run, scoring twice.
Alex Leopard scored two runs and secured one RBI, also stealing a base, while
Delshaun Lanier tallied two RBI and a walk.
Nick Costello tallied three RBI and stole a base, adding two hits to his performance.

Starter
Austin Bowker went 4.0 innings, allowing five runs—three earned—on six hits with one walk and one strikeout.
Nathan Ries (2-2) pitched 1.1 scoreless innings in relief, allowing one hit, two walks and one strikeout for the win.
Julian Cazares closed with 3.0 scoreless innings, allowing only two hits and striking out five batters for the save.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Allen got the scoring started for UC San Diego in the top of the first with a two-out RBI single up the middle. The Tritons also capitalized on early control issues for Davis, loading the bases and scoring two runs via four consecutive walks. UC San Diego held a 3-0 lead after a 30-minute top of the first.

 The Aggies responded in the bottom of the inning, scoring three runs on two hits, one error and a walk to tie the game 3-3.

UC San Diego retook the lead an inning later after loading the bases with two hit batters and a walk. Lanier was hit by a pitch to force in Camacho from third and make it 4-3.

UC Davis jumped in front in the bottom of the fourth, with a leadoff homer and an RBI single to make it 5-4, Aggies. The Tritons were quick to tie the game once again, 5-5, when Lanier hit an RBI groundout to second base to drive in
Trevian Martinez in the fifth. An inning later, UC San Diego pulled ahead on a solo shot by Camacho to make it 6-5.

The Tritons further solidified their lead in the eighth inning when Camacho walked and advanced on a single by Allen. Leopard's single brought in Camacho, and Costello followed with a two-RBI single, scoring Leopard and Allen to make it 9-5.

Cazares retired the Aggies in order in the ninth inning, including back-to-back strikeouts to secure the save.

- It is the second conference series sweep for the Tritons this season, who also took all three at CSUN.
- Gabe Camacho knocked his ninth home run of the season and currently ranks second in the Big West.
- It was the first save of his UC San Diego career for Julian Cazares and his Triton career high with five strikeouts.
- UC San Diego is now 15-21 in the all-time series with UC Davis, 11-7 in Division I and 2-0 this season.
