LOS ANGELES - The No. 13 University of California San Diego women's tennis team remained undefeated with a 6-3 win over No. 29 Cal State LA Saturday at the CSULA Tennis Complex.
The Tritons are now 7-0 on the season, with four wins coming against national top-50 teams.
In the first slot of the singles matches, Britta Mosser captured a 6-2, 6-4 victory against Nozomi Matsuoka.
At No. 2, Ashley Chao fell to 42nd-ranked Kayleigh Hall in two sets, 6-2, 6-3. Becky Chou lost to Elizaveta Sokolova 6-3, 6-3 in the No. 3 spot.
Jasmine Hosseini, Alexandra Weil and Valeria Corral each took home wins for the Tritons at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6.
Hosseini beat Iris Raileanu 6-2, 6-4. Weil overcame Luciana Di Laura in three sets, 6-2, 5-7, 6-3. Corral finished with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Isabella Lopez.
The top spot in the doubles matches did not go the Tritons' way as Mosser and Shannon Theisen fell to the 10th-ranked duo of Hall and Matsuoka, 8-5.
One spot down, Chao and Chou defeated Lopez and Raileanu with a final score of 8-3. At No. 3, Weil and Madison Hale beat Di Laura and Sokolova 8-3.
The Golden Eagles fell to 6-3 with the loss.
UCSD will return to Northview Courts for an eight-match home stand starting with Concordia on Feb. 28. The match will begin at 2:00 p.m.
