For the second-straight season, UC San Diego's home games will be streamed live at UCSDTritons.tv. A season pass can be purchased for $34.99, which gives users access to all live events (baseball, basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball, water polo and more) for the entire 2016-17 academic year. In addition, a single day pass is available for $5.99. Broadcasts are free for users connected to a UCSD network. The multi-camera production comes to you in high definition with full audio commentary, and can be viewed on smartphones and tablets as well as laptops and desktop computers. Veteran broadcaster Steve Quis will handle the play-by-play duties and will be joined by an array of guests, including former UCSD basketball players.

ABOUT THE GOLDEN EAGLES
Cal State LA is currently 7-5 overall and 4-0 in the CCAA, with their last win coming against Cal State East Bay on Dec. 19. The Golden Eagles are led in both scoring and rebounds by junior Rikke Fabricius with 15.3 PPG, 62 total rebounds and a 5.2 RPG average. Cheryl Miller begins her first season as head coach at Cal State LA. Miller is an inductee of both the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and Women's Basketball Hall of Fame after leading Team USA to gold in the 1984 Olympics and having coached teams at both the collegiate and professional levels.
SERIES HISTORY
UCSD leads the all-time series against Cal State LA, 31-6. The last time the two teams met was on the evening of Saturday, Jan. 23 in a CCAA regular season match-up at RIMAC. The Tritons took the win, 73-64.
ABOUT THE WARRIORS
Stanislaus State will face UC San Diego 3-0 in the CCAA and 5-7 overall. In their last game, the Warriors fell to Division I opponent San Jose State, 85-90. Senior transfer Reana Hardin leads all scorers with 13.5 PPG, followed by fellow senior, Ana Burch with 10.5 PPG. Cassidy Sanders-Curry leads the team in rebounds with 62. Wayman Strickland enters his fifth year as head coach.
SERIES HISTORY
The Tritons lead the series 27-10. The last time UCSD saw Stanislaus was on Feb. 13 at RIMAC Arena where the Tritons eventually won in overtime, 88-81.
TANITA EARNS SECOND CCAA PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONOR
Taylor Tanita was once again named the CCAA Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 21-27. She had previously won it for the week of Nov. 7-13. The junior guard averaged 17 points, six assists and five rebounds as UCSD defeated Saginaw Valley State and west region rival, Azusa Pacific, at the annual UC San Diego Thanksgiving Classic. Along with the victories, Tanita also captured the tournament MVP award for her efforts. She shot 44.4 percent (4-9) from the field, 33.3 percent (1-3) from behind the arc and was 78.5 percent (11-14) from the free throw line against Saginaw Valley State. The Culver City product had 14 points, seven assists and six rebounds as the Tritons defeated Azusa Pacifc 81-60.
MACLEOD EARNS HER FIRST CCAA PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD
Cassie MacLeod was named CCAA Player of the Week for the first time in her career for the week of Dec. 12-19. On Dec. 16, MacLeod netted a game-high 20 points while going 9-for-10 from the field in just 14 minutes of play as the Tritons downed Cal State San Bernardino, 82-48. She also grabbed three rebounds. On Dec. 19 in an 82-64 victory against Cal State Dominguez Hills, the senior forward had a team-high 21 points to go along with five rebounds and two assists. The 21 points matched a career-high. Over the two contests, she averaged 20.5 points and 4.0 rebounds while draining 18 of 25 shots, good for a .720 percentage. MacLeod currently leads UCSD in scoring (12.1 points/game) and rebounding (6.9 rebounds/game). She is the third Triton this season to be honored with the award, with Taylor Tanita being bestowed the first two.
VERSUS THE TRITONS
UCSD is currently keeping opponents under 40 percent from both field goal (.374) and three-point (.308) range, resulting in a 64.1 scoring average for other schools. The Tritons lead opponents in defensive (298-250), offensive (109-94) and total rebounds (407-344), keeping the opposition to 34.4 rebounds per game. UCSD also outnumbers its adversaries 185-114 in assists, leading to an eighth ranked 18.5 APG average for the Tritons while allowing only 11.4 APG for opponents.
DEFEND THE ARENA
UC San Diego is currently undefeated at home, with a 5-0 streak that began with an 82-69 upset victory against No. 23 Saginaw Valley State on Nov. 25 at the UCSD Thanksgiving Tournament. The last time the Tritons were at least 5-0 at home was in the 2015-16 season, where they kept a 6-0 home advantage until Jan. 22.
COURT VISION
Taylor Tanita is currently averaging 6.0 APG in 10 games and leads the CCAA in both number of individual assists (60) and assists per game. The next highest average in the conference after Tanita is 4.8 APG. She also holds the number three spot in the conference in assist/turnover ratio at 1.7. Nationally, Tanita ranks 16th in assists per game, only 1.5 assists from the number one spot. Her best performance came at the expense of No. 2 Cal Baptist on Nov. 12, where she posted nine assists and tied a career-best 21 points en route to defeating the Lancers.
HUGHES FOR THREE (OR FOUR)
Over the last three games, sophomore transfer Marcella Hughes has made at least four shots from behind the three point arc in each one. For her efforts, she averages 4.3 three-pointers made, 13.7 PPG, and a .619 3PT shooting percentage over the course of the last three. Overall, she is averaging .517 percent (15-29) from the field and .500 percent (14-28) from long range.
HEAD COACH HEIDI VANDERVEER
Heidi VanDerveer is in her fifth campaign as the head coach of the UCSD women's basketball team with an 84-39 overall record. Last year, VanDerveer led the Tritons to a 26-5 overall mark, taking home a share of the CCAA regular-season crown with an 18-2 record in conference play. The Tritons qualified the NCAA Division II postseason for the ninth time since 2000-01 and advanced all the way to the West Regional title game. In her first year with the team, UCSD finished with a 22-11 record overall and placed second in the conference at 17-5. The Tritons won their first-ever league tournament title. Prior to coming to La Jolla, VanDerveer spent four seasons at Division III Occidental, where she compiled an impressive 83-26 record and led the Tigers to four straight Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles. VanDerveer has also spent time as the head coach at Eastern Washington and San Francisco. She began her coaching career under Pat Summitt at Tennessee and spent 12 years working in the WNBA. In addition to her collegiate and professional experience, VanDerveer worked with USA Basketball as a scout for the 2006 World Championship team and the 2008 World Qualifying Tournament. She also served as a scout for the 2008 Olympic Team that won a gold medal in Beijing. VanDerveer graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor's Degree in political science in 1986 and went on to earn her Master's in physical education and sports psychology from the University of Tennessee in 1988. She was a four-year letterwinner on the basketball team at Charleston and served as a team captain as a junior and a senior.
CARLISLE PROMOTED TO ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH
Head coach Heidi VanDerveer promoted Chelsea Carlisle to the position of associate head coach prior to the start of the 2016-17 season. Carlisle is in her fifth year on the Triton coaching staff after a stellar four-year playing career as a UCSD student-athlete. She has helped the team to an 82-37 overall record and guided UCSD to the 2012-13 CCAA Tournament and 2015-16 CCAA regular season titles during her four years as an assistant coach. As a player, Carlisle was a three-time All-American and graduated as the school's all-time career leader in assists (575), while ranking second in both points (1,950) and steals (262). She graduated from UCSD in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in communication.
LAST SEASON
The Tritons went 26-5 during the 2015-16 season, taking home a share of the CCAA regular season crown with an 18-2 record in conference play. UCSD defeated Cal State East Bay and Azusa Pacific in the first two rounds of the NCAA West Regional, before getting knocked out by Alaska Anchorage in the regional finals, one game shy of reaching the Elite 8. UCSD had four players named All-CCAA in Beth Mounier, Taylor Tanita, Jamie Katuna and Farrah Shokoor. Shokoor was named the conference's Player of the Year as well as All-American by the WBCA and CCA.
