SAN DIEGO - The 19th-ranked UC San
Diego women's water polo team held No. 11 Indiana to just a single goal in the second half
as the Tritons rallied for a 7-6 win in the opening game of the Aztec Invitational on Saturday
morning at the Aztec Aquaplex. UCSD fell to No. 18 Princeton in overtime, 7-6, in the second game of the Invite.
Down 5-3 at the half against Indiana, UCSD scored two goals in each of the
third and fourth quarters and limited the Hoosiers to a single score in the final 16 minutes.
Goalkeeper
Allie Taylor registered 10 saves in the game.
Katherine Biehle and
Jessica Tran scored a
pair of goals.

UCSD led 5-1 at the break against the Tigers, but Princeton outscored the Tritons 5-1 in the second half to force overtime. The Tigers scored the only goal in the extra session to prevail, 7-6.
Tran led the Tritons with three goals while
Leah Gonzales,
Sarah Lizotte and Bartow each pitched-in with a score. Taylor tallied 10 saves in goal.
UCSD resumes the Aztec Invite against Hawaii at 9:15 a.m. before facing Bucknell at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
