SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The 17th-ranked UC San Diego women's water polo team suffered two losses on the second day of the Bronco Invitational on Sunday afternoon. UCSD was doubled up by Colorado State in an 8-4 loss. The Tritons returned to the pool to face No. 3 Cal and lost by a 17-5 score. On the first day of the Invitational, the Tritons split two games, defeating Sonoma State and losing to San Jose State. UCSD is back in action on Friday, April 16 when it hosts Chapman at 6:00 p.m. UCSD will salute its senior class in a Senior Night ceremony shortly before first sprint.
Against Colorado State, the Tritons and Rams were all tied up at 1-1 after the first quarter. CSU took a 3-2 lead at halftime and extended the lead to 6-3 after three quarters. CSU outscored UCSD 2-1 in the fourth to close out the 8-4 win.

In the loss to Cal, the Golden Bears outscored the Tritons 12-2 in the first half and cruised to the 17-5 victory. Bates and
Jessica Tran scored two goals apiece while Crowell also scored.
