LOS ANGELES, Calif. ?The UC San Diego women's water polo team had three student-athletes honored as the Western Water Polo Association handed out its yearly awards on Wednesday. Sydney Gstettenbauer earned WWPA first-team honors after leading the Tritons in scoring for the second consecutive season. Stephanie Heinrich was named to the WWPA second-team and Jessica Tran was selected to the WWPA All-Freshman team. The Tritons are headed to the WWPA Championships in Santa Clara this week as the winner will receive the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Championships May 8-10 in College Park, MD.
