LA JOLLA, Calif. - The UC San Diego Department of Athletics welcomed its two newest head coaches on Friday at an afternoon press conference held on the 4th floor of RIMAC Arena. Director of Athletics Earl W. Edwards introduced Charity Elliott as the new head women's basketball coach while also introducing Chris Carlson as the new leader for the men's basketball program.

The press conference was held in front of local media members, many of the current Triton coaching staff and friends of the program. Elliott was named the head women's coach on June 8th while Carlson was hired as the men's coach on June 11th. Both will assume their coaching duties over the next few weeks.
