Biography

AS A JUNIOR IN 2007: Recorded a career-best 267 digs on the season... notched at least 10 digs in 14 matches, including a career-high 20 digs at Sonoma State on October 6... recorded 48 aces on the year and had seven matches with at least three aces.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2006: Torres recorded 23 aces in 2006, including a career-best six against Cal State Stanislaus on September 8... had five matches with at least 10 digs and a season-high 15 against Cal Poly Pomona on October 21.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2005: Appeared in 48 games with 27 kills, 57 digs and eight aces... notched a season-high seven kills with no errors (.700) against St. Martins on Sept. 2... recorded 10 digs against Cal State L.A. on October 6.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Diamond Bar HS where she was a two-time All-Sierra League first-teamer and team MVP... also was a four-time Inland Valley Prep Athlete of the Week... other school honors included the National Student-Athlete Award, Governor’s Scholarship Award and the Principal’s Honor Roll.

PERSONAL: Born January 20, 1988... the daughter of Marty and Monet Torres... parents are Southern California graduates... a Biology major in Muir College... hobbies include beach volleyball, surfing and snowboarding.
