Frank Pham joins the UC San Diego volleyball programs for 2026-27, bringing a strong background in collegiate volleyball operations, performance analysis and team statistics.
Prior to coming to La Jollla, Pham spent four seasons (2022–25) with the Cal Poly volleyball program as a student technical coordinator, where he developed extensive experience in match operations, video analysis and statistical scouting.
During his time at Cal Poly, Pham played an integral role behind the scenes, overseeing equipment setup and coordinating game-day preparations to ensure a seamless environment for student-athletes and coaching staff. He also worked extensively with VolleyStation and VolleyMetrics, contributing detailed performance analysis and helping translate data into actionable insights that supported player development and match strategy. During his tenure, Pham was part of two Big West Championship teams and helped Cal Poly advance to the NCAA Sweet 16 during the 2025 season.
Pham has also served as an assistant coach for Cal Poly men's club volleyball, helping lead the program to a top-three national finish. His experience across collegiate athletics, club volleyball and international competition has allowed him to develop a diverse background in volleyball operations, coaching, statistics, and performance analysis.
In 2026, Pham expanded his experience to the international level, serving as a team statistician for the U.S. Senior Men's National Team during its run in the 2026 Volleyball Nations League Tournament.
A native of San Jose, Calif., Pham graduated from Cal Poly with a degree in recreation, parks, and tourism administration, with a concentration in sport and recreation management. His academic experience, combined with his hands-on involvement in collegiate and international athletics, has equipped him with a well-rounded perspective on sport operations, performance analysis and team performance
