AS A JUNIOR IN 2009: Appeared in a career high 82 sets with 97 kills, 20 aces and 41 blocks... recorded a career-high nine kills in a five-set win against Minnesota-Duluth on August 29... hit over .300 in nine different matches... tallied a .583 hitting percentage with seven kills against Cal State L.A. in the NCAA West Regional semifinal.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2008: Appeared in 67 sets with 56 kills and 50 blocks... recorded a season-high six kills in four different matches... notched a career-best eight blocks against Cal State San Bernardino on September 26.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2007: Appeared in 14 games with three kills and five blocks.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Bonita HS where the volleyball team won four straight Miramonte League titles... season highs include 155 kills, 67 blocks and a .440 hitting percentage... twice earned first-team all-league, including the conference's Most Valuable Offensive Player award... a Miramonte Scholar Athlete award winner... club teams included Club West Volleyball and Claremont Stars Soccer.

PERSONAL: Born Feb. 6, 1989... parents are Don and Terri Simonsen... father is a UC San Diego graduate while her mother graduated from UC Irvine... has an older brother named Daniel... an Ecology, Behavior and Evolution major in Sixth College... career goal includes working with marine life... hobbies include playing all sports, shopping, spending time with family and friends, yoga and working out.
