Biography
As a Freshman in 2009-10: Earned a spot on the All-Pacific Collegiate Swimming Conference team after impressive performances at the league championships held in Long Beach, Calif... in that final conference meet, he finished sixth in the 200 breaststroke (2:09.02), ninth in the 400 IM (4:08.18), 10th in the 200 IM (1:56.92).
High School: Attended Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, Calif... named the Division Senior of the Year for water polo and swimming... as a senior, defended his league title in the 200 individual medley and qualified for the Central Coast Section Finals in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke... selected as Live Oak's male student of the year and scholar-athlete of the year as a senior... named to the USA Swimming Scholastic All-American Team in 2008... competed in eight events at the 2008 Speedo Sectional Championships.
Personal: Born Feb. 21, 1991... parents are John and Lisa Rick... is a Bioengineering major at Warren College... has a younger sister Kathryn... hobbies include photography, skydiving, music and computers.
