Biography
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2009-10: Received All-American and All-Conference accolades as a freshman... At the NCAA Division II National Championships in Canton, Ohio, he captured seventh place in the 200 butterfly with a 1:51.72 mark... During the Pacific Collegiate Swimming Conference Championships in Long, Beach, Calif., he swam that same event in 1:54.47 to finish fourth... Also at the PCSC meet, he took eighth in the 100 fly after crossing the line in 51.68... Named the Tritons' Rookie of the Year on the men's side.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, Calif... Guided team to first-place All-American finish in 400 free relay at North Coast Sectional Championships... Named Academic All-American... Personal long-course bests in high school are 0:52 in the 100 fly, 2:00 in the 200 fly, 1:58 in the 200 individual medley and 4:13 in the 400 IM... Earned All-American accolades for his 100 fly finish... Won the NCS 400 free relay dudring his junior year... Also competed for the Walnut Creek Aquabears, San Diego Invitational Champions.
PERSONAL: Born Nov. 10, 1991... Parents are David and Jane Stringer... Is a Geochemistry major at Warren College... Has two older sisters named Joanna and Fay... Enjoys playing music, playing games and longboarding in his free time... Favorite athletes are Ryan Lochte and Stephen Parry.
