Biography

As a Junior in 2008-09: Did not compete in the 2008-09 season.

As a Sophomore in 2007-08: Competed in the NCAA Division II Championships... helped the Tritons to a 13th place finish in the 800 free relay ... on the 800 free relay foursome that placed second at the PCSC Championships... also at the PCSC Championships, finished sixth in the 500 free, fifth in the 200 free and ninth in the 1650 free.

As a Freshman in 2006-07: Earned All-American honors as part of UCSD's 800 free relay team, recording a time of 6:53.74 at Nationals... earned PCSC All-Conference honors... at the PCSC Championships, finished eighth in the 200 free in 1:45.31 and was UCSD's top finisher in the 1650 free finishing 10th overall.

High School: Attended Mission Viejo HS where he notched a 400m free time of 4:11.66 and 500 free time of 4:40.47... member of the National Team 4x200, finishing eighth at the spring championships in Washington... also swam on the Mission Viejo Nadadores club team... high school team was the CIF division I duel meet national champion.

Personal: Born May 27, 1988... parents are Brian and Vicki Goodell... father graduated from UCLA, while mother graduated from University of San Diego... has two brothers named Brian and Scott... Brian Goodell was an Olympic gold medalist and world record holder in 1976 in the 400 and 1500 free... lists hobbies as the beach, fishing, driving and movies... is a Mathematics and Economics major and Education minor at Sixth College.
