Olivia Anderson was named assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the UC San Diego swimming and diving program in October 2021.
Anderson comes to La Jolla after working as a coach for middle and high school competitive swimmers at Aquajets Swim Team in Eden Prairie, Minn.
She also worked as an intern with Leadership U at the University of Minnesota, assisting in leading and supporting the facilitation of curriculum to student-athletes and coaches. In addition, Anderson has interned with Special Olympics of Texas and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Anderson was a swimming and diving student-athlete and team captain at The University of Texas at Austin, and was also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) while with the Longhorns.
She was a three-time Big-12 All-Academic Team selection, a four-time Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll member, a four-time Texas Athletic Director’s Honor Roll member, a four-time
semifinalist at the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials, a two-time Big 12 champion in the 100 breaststroke and 200 medley relay as well as a U.S. National Junior Swim Team member.
Anderson received her bachelor’s degree in communication studies from The University of Texas at Austin in fall 2019.
