HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Otay Ranch HS... earned league MVP honors, First-Team All-CIF, First-Team Union Tribune All-Academic and AVCA All-American... team went 9-3 during his senior year and advanced to the CIF quarterfinals... also a member of Junior Olympics with Seaside Volleyball Club in 2006 and 2008.

PERSONAL: Born August 21, 1990... parents are Reda El-Rakabawy and Dena Crump... parents are University of Cincinnati graduates... has two siblings named Alliah and Adam... Adam played volleyball at UCSD in 2009... a Mathematics major in Warren College... lists favorite teams as the San Diego Padres, Dallas Cowboys and USA Soccer... favorite athlete is Tony Romo.
