UC San Diego

Alex Cost joined the UC San Diego Athletics Department as a Senior Performance Coach in May of 2024.
 
Prior to his time with the Tritons, Cost served as the head strength and conditioning coach of the Delaware Blue Coats in the NBA G League.
 
Cost was also an adjunct professor for online exercise science and health courses at Miramar College. 
 
He has held previous strength and conditioning as well as performance coaching positions at Miramar College, Coronado Swim Team Elie, Innovative Movement Solutions, Fitness Quest 10 and San Diego State.
 
Cost earned his Master of Science in Exercise Physiology and his Master of Science in Nutritional Science from San Diego State in 2019. He received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from SDSU in 2017.
