AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2005-06: Started two games during his second full season... set a career-high with five rebounds in his season debut at Pomona-Pitzer on November 22, helping the Tritons to their first win of the year... played a season-high 18 minutes off the bench against Cal State Stanislaus, grabbing a new career-high nine rebounds and tying his career-high of five points on January 6... set a new career-high in points with six in only nine minutes of play against Cal State Bakersfield on February 4, converting 2-for-3 from the field and 2-for-3 from the line...  

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN IN 2004-05: Started nine of the 23 games he appeared in... scored 26 points, pulled down 19 rebounds and had 10 assists on the season... scored a career-high five points twice, the first coming in the 59-57 win over CSULA at home on December 4... added five points in the loss at home to Mesa State on December 15... grabbed two rebounds on seven separate occasions.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2003-04: Played in one game before redshirting the rest of the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2003 graduate of San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara, Calif... played basketball for coach Chris Hantgin... member of the CIF Quarterfinalists in 2002 and 2003... helped team to league championship in 2002... first team all-league performer in 2002-03... earned all-county and second team All-CIF as a senior... had a career high of 38 points in a single game.

PERSONAL: Born August 14, 1984 in Santa Barbara, Calif... parents are John and Sharon Spaventa... has younger twin sisters Sara and Juli... is a Political Science major in Muir College... enjoys surfing and going to the beach in his spare time.
